We're not really "Shopify people" — we'd rather build it ourselves, because we think custom is more stable and cheaper in the long run. If Shopify's simplicity is genuinely what you want, it's a good option — we just don't build it ourselves. For everything else, it's usually React by default, WordPress only when we're fixing what's already there.
